10:30am - 11:30am BMX Wingz Session

Wingz is Access Sport’s inclusive cycling programme for d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent young people and their siblings.

Sessions are delivered by a qualified coach who provides support and guidance. Sessions are less structured than our other sessions as they aim to provide an opportunity for riders with less experience or confidence to have a go in their own time and at their own pace.

Please note that we don’t provide 1:1s and ask parent/ carers to support their child.

Helmets and safety equipment is provided including knee pads and elbow pads. Bikes are provided including two wheeled BMX bikes and mountain style bikes which we have in different sizes. We also have s a tricycle and a small number of strider balance bikes onsite.

Can't quite pedal yet? No problem, this session is open to beginner and less confident particiapnts and we have various methods like the scooting method, to help riders build their balance before pedalling.
