Building Resilience - Sheffield Women's Leadership Circle

The Sheffield Women's Leadership Circle meets monthly for practical, honest conversations about leadership. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you manage a team. Leadership takes many forms.

We're often told we need to become more resilient - but what if the answer isn't simply getting better at carrying more?

In this practical, interactive session, Tracey Holland will explore the invisible load we carry, how to protect the things that genuinely matter, the hidden cost of the automatic "yes", and what happens to us when pressure takes over. Expect honest conversation, relatable stories and simple tools you can actually use - with space to work out what you might want to put down as well as what you want to make room for.

About Tracey

Tracey Holland is the founder of Reforge Change, where she helps leaders and organisations make the messy stuff at work more workable. Drawing on more than 30 years' experience of leading and supporting change, she brings a practical, human approach to the things that often get in the way of good work - unclear priorities, overloaded teams, fuzzy ownership and change that doesn't quite stick. Sheffield born and bred, Tracey is known for making complex ideas useful, relatable and actually doable.

How the evening runs

Doors from 7:00pm and we aim to start by 7.10pm, so please allow time to find us. The Owen Building is large. We open with a short check-in where members share how they got on with the goal they set last month, then the main session, then we finish by setting a goal for the month ahead. We're out of the room by 9:00pm.

Getting there

Room 942, 9th Floor, Owen Building, Sheffield Hallam University, City Campus, Howard Street. There's no visitor parking at the Owen Building, so please use nearby public car parks. Sheffield Hallam visitors can get a discounted day rate at APCOA The Moor by scanning their parking chip at the Owen Building helpdesk on Level 5.
