About This Event

End of Life Doula Penny Merrett will host a Death Cafe event on 2026-10-12 in the Carpenter Room at Sheffield Central Library. The session is open to participants who wish to discuss death-related topics.

End of Life Doula Penny Merrett will be hosting a Death Cafe in the Carpenter room at Sheffield Central Library.

At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Our objective is, 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'. A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.

Tickets are free but limited to 24 people per session.
