The Get Writing session is held on 2 September 2026 at The Writers Workshop in Sheffield. It provides a creative environment for writers to generate new work alongside peers. Tickets are priced between £9.92 and £57.04.
A safe, creative space to generate new writing in the company of like-minded writers.
Get Writing is the longest standing group at the Writers Workshop.
Every Wednesday there’s a theme and a focus but where you go with it is up to you. No formal instruction, just gentle, playful prompts to bring out your own voice and style in the company of people who love writing and where it takes them.
You can write in whatever genre and for whatever purpose suits you. Expect friendship and solidarity as side effects.
Pay for a block of four sessions for the best value (from Wednesday the 2nd of September to Wednesday the 23rd of September).
