How will your tech startup make money, and have you considered all the options available?

The TechForge Accelerator from Business Sheffield is a series of five in-person workshops designed to support technology-centred startups, particularly those involving software.

The accelerator is best suited to early-stage founders. You might have an idea you're exploring, be developing a prototype or Minimum Viable Product (MVP), or have already started trading.

You can attend one or more workshops in the TechForge Accelerator series depending on your needs. Each workshop lasts just over two hours, with an opportunity to network at the end.

What is this TechForge Accelerator workshop about?

This session focuses on monetisation: the different ways your technology or software business could generate income.

Software-based businesses can use a variety of approaches to bring in revenue. You might be considering fees or subscriptions, exploring advertising revenue or looking at options such as digital currencies.

The workshop will introduce different approaches to monetisation and explore pricing models and pricing levels for your products and services.

What will I learn?

During the workshop, you'll explore:

Ways to generate income

Explore different monetisation options for technology and software-based businesses.

Fees and subscription models

Consider approaches that involve charging customers fees or subscriptions for your products or services.

Explore the pricing levels you could consider when deciding what to charge for your products or services.
