Join Sligo Bay Catchment Rivers Trust for another Himalayan Balsam Bash

Join Sligo Bay Catchment Rivers Trust for another Himalayan Balsam Bash as we continue tackling the spread of Himalayan balsam in the Sligo Bay catchment.

Himalayan balsam is an invasive plant that can quickly dominate riverbanks, outcompeting native vegetation and leaving bare ground when it dies back. Removing the plants before they set seed is an important part of reducing its spread.

📅 Date: Saturday 3rd October

📍 Location: Ardtrasna

Meeting points:

9:30am – ATU Sligo for anyone who would like to travel together
