About This Event

The Inner Work of Parenting offers an opportunity for parents to explore their responses and enhance their resilience in a supportive environment. This gentle evening at Stillpoint Studio in Sligo invites adults to engage with various speakers, promoting understanding that can benefit both parents and children. Participants can look forward to reflective discussions and insights that foster calm and connection within the family.

Move from reactive to resilient. Join us for a gentle evening in Sligo to understand your reactions and find your parenting calm.

There are a growing number of parents who want to move away from traditional control-based parenting strategies and instead raise their children with connection, empathy and understanding. However, our children often have different ideas leading to daily conflict and power struggles. They seem to know exactly how to get under our skin and push our buttons. Suddenly we are reverting to threats or bribes or we find ourselves losing our patience and exploding at our kids. Children often become our mirrors. They can expose patterns and emotional wounds that may have remained hidden for decades.

This evening workshop helps parents understand why they react the way they do in the first place. This programme supports parents in developing the awareness, regulation, and self-understanding required to meet both themselves and their children with greater compassion, capacity, and connection.

Who This Is For

This evening is designed for parents of toddlers to teens who want to understand why they become so reactive in the heat of the moment. It is for you if you:

Want a deeper connection with your children.

Feel emotionally activated or overwhelmed at times.

Are parenting neurodivergent children.

Are interested in personal growth and healing.

Understand that changing your child is not the goal.

Are willing to explore your own patterns and conditioning.

Want practical tools as well as deeper transformational work.

By the end of this workshop, you will leave with increased self-awareness and practical tools to experience:

More Capacity & Patience: Feel less overwhelm, experience more steadiness, and enjoy faster recovery after difficult moments.

Greater Self-Awareness: Understand your reactive moments, emotional patterns, projections, and inherited family stories.

More Regulation: Discover practical tools for nervous system support so you can recognize emotional activation earlier and stay present during challenges.

Better Connection: Reduce conflict and power struggles by improving daily communication and understanding your child’s unique nervous system.

Spend an evening connecting with parents on the same path as you. You'll leave feeling understood, re-energised, and equipped with the ideas and motivation to tackle the daily ups and downs of parenting.
