About This Event

On 14 November 2026, a guided tour of the 'Becoming Doctors' exhibition takes place at the John Hansard Gallery in Southampton. The tour is led by medical students who created the artwork and it explains the role of art in medical training. The exhibition features drawings, objects, zines, photography, and poetry by University of Southampton medical students.

Join a tour of the exhibition led by one of the medical students involved in the project.

Did you know that creative art was part of the medical training for future doctors?

The John Hansard Gallery is currently showing an art exhibition curated by Dr Luca di Gregorio, who teaches in Medical Education at the University of Southampton. It includes drawings, objects, zines, photography, poetry and more made by our medical students.

During a tour of the exhibition led by one of the medical students involved in the project, they will explain the exhibits, and tell you more about the important place of art and creativity in their training. All welcome.
