About This Event

My Summer Over a Beat will take place at Southampton Central Library on September 19, 2026. This workshop is scheduled to feature free rap, hip-hop, and poetry sessions. The event is listed with no ticket price.

Join this interactive workshop where rap, poetry and music come together. Play games, listen to tracks, try writing challenges and turn your ideas into lyrics, poems or spoken word. Whether you already write or just want to try something new, you’ll build confidence, create your own verses and, if you want to, perform them to music — no pressure, just good vibes and creativity.

The workshop is aimed at children aged 8-12, accompanied by an adult.

The event is free, but booking is essential

If you’re not able to attend, please cancel your place so that others do not miss out
