Ghost Hunt Live – Event DescriptionHosted by Paranormal Essex, this one-of-a-kind live paranormal experience combines a real-time ghost hunt with immersive theatre, placing you at the centre of a night where history and the unexplained collide.

Paranormal Essex is a team of dedicated investigators who share a passion for exploring the unknown. Combining years of experience in ghost hunting, paranormal technology, historical research and spiritual exploration, the team travels across the UK investigating reports of unexplained activity and haunted locations.

But this isn't just another ghost hunt.

Throughout the evening, the history of the venue comes to life through a series of dramatic performances by our Haunted Theatre Company. As former characters from the building's past emerge from the shadows, they'll recreate forgotten moments, tell chilling stories and reveal clues that slowly uncover the mystery hidden within the theatre's walls.

As each chapter unfolds, Paranormal Essex will investigate the very locations and stories you've just witnessed. Using a range of paranormal equipment and investigative techniques—including EMF meters, spirit communication devices, trigger objects and audience-led experiments—the team will attempt to discover whether echoes of the past still remain.

This is a fully interactive live experience. Every ticket holder remains seated in the audience, becoming part of the investigation as it unfolds before them. You'll be invited to take part in experiments, make observations, ask questions and help search for answers alongside the team.

Guests are also welcome to bring their own paranormal investigation equipment, including EMF meters, spirit boxes, dowsing rods or other ghost-hunting tools, and join in with the experiments throughout the evening.

While the historical performances are carefully crafted to bring the venue's past to life, the paranormal investigation itself is completely live. No one knows what the equipment will detect, what sounds may be heard, or whether anything unexplained will happen.
