Seaweeds and coastal plants are not only delicious but also contain a wealth of beneficial properties. They are rich in essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Incorporating seaweeds into food, soap, and skincare products is believed to offer a wide range of health benefits, such as boosting the immune system, improving digestion, and promoting healthy skin. When we meet up we’ll talk you through safety on the seashore, tides and how to forage sustainably. You will learn how to identify the major seaweeds on our shores, taste some of them fresh from the rocks and find out what wonderful properties they contain. Finally we will explore how we use them in foods, soap and skincare products as nature’s wild health supplements and how seaweeds can help save the planet.
