Our 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed to give you the practical skills, knowledge and confidence to respond to a range of workplace emergencies.

The course is suitable for anyone who may be required to act as an emergency first aider at work, as well as anyone who simply wants to feel more confident helping someone who becomes ill or injured.

Throughout the day, you will take part in practical activities, demonstrations and realistic scenarios designed to help you apply what you learn.

You can expect a supportive and engaging learning environment with plenty of opportunities to practise your skills, ask questions and build your confidence.

The role and responsibilities of a first aider

Assessing an emergency situation

Primary survey

CPR

Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Recovery position

Choking

Bleeding and wounds

Shock

Seizures

Minor injuries

Knowing when and how to call for further help

Our trainers bring real-world experience into the classroom and focus on practical learning rather than simply working through slides.

Assessment takes place throughout the course through practical demonstration and questioning. You will be given plenty of opportunities to practise before being assessed.

No previous first aid experience is required.

By the end of the day, our aim is for you to leave not only with a certificate, but with the confidence to step forward and help when it matters.
