Floating Sound Bath- Experience Gongs, Crystal Bowls and Handpan at Blythe Bridge High School, Stoke on Trent
Most soundbaths happen on the floor.
This one happens on water.
At this floating soundbath you lie back on a floating airbed while the tones of gongs, drums and shimmering instruments move through the space around you.
Sound travels about four times faster through water than it does through air. As the vibrations move across the pool and into the airbed beneath you, the body does not just hear the sound, it begins to feel it. Through the muscles, fascia and nervous system.
As the body senses rhythm and vibration, breathing often slows, the body softens and the nervous system begins to settle. It becomes less about “listening” and more about allowing the body to respond.
Hosted by Louise Davies and Freddie Houlder.

This soundbath uses The gong and is often described as a full-body sound journey
The Gong – Deep, Powerful & Transformational
Produces a wide range of frequencies all at once (rich, complex sound)
Works on the whole body, often felt as waves or vibrations moving through you
Helps quiet the thinking mind quickly, guiding you into deep, meditative states
Can feel immersive, expansive, and sometimes emotionally releasing
Floating allows the body to fully release tension, while the vibrations of the gong gently resonate through the body, encouraging a deep meditative state.
Many people experience:
✨ Deep relaxation and stress relief
✨ A calm and quiet mind
✨ Emotional and energetic balance
✨ Improved sleep and nervous system reset
✨ A feeling of weightlessness and inner peace
No meditation experience is needed. Simply float, relax and allow the sound to guide you.
