Sensory Hour at Stratford-upon-Avon Library
Sensory Hour sessions are designed to be inclusive and welcoming for people with sensory needs.
The lights are lowered and blinds/curtains closed in the children's area, and motion activated sensory floor projections and sensory toys are available.
These relaxed, unstructured sessions are an opportunity for families who may otherwise find it difficult to access the library to come and relax and enjoy the space and resources, however the space is open to all.
These sessions are great for:
Supporting engagement and communication for people with learning disabilities
Enjoying a relaxed and inclusive environment
Discovering what our libraries offer
Why not take a book home after the event? You'll enjoy a great read, and it's a simple way to support your library. Every loan counts.
Time: 10:30am -11:30am on Mondays, and 4:00pm - 4:45pm on Wednesdays.
Date: Every Monday and Wednesday
Age: All Ages (please note: children must be accompanied by an adult at all times)
Booking: This is a drop-in event, so booking is not required. If you do choose to book a ticket, please be aware that it does not guarantee you a space. Participation will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
