Learn about bird ringing from licensed experts and get up close to local birdlife in this fascinating live demonstration

Join COAST South Tyneside and the fantastic licensed bird ringers from Whitburn Coastal Conservation Group for a unique opportunity to get up close to our local wildlife.

Watch live bird ringing demonstrations and learn how this valuable conservation work helps scientists understand bird populations, movements, and migration patterns both locally and around the world.

As with any wildlife event, we can't guarantee what species will be seen on the day, but every session offers a fascinating insight into the birds in our local area.

This is a drop-in session, so you're welcome to stay for the full event or pop by at any time during the session. The bird ringing will take place indoors; however, as the weather is becoming cooler, we recommend dressing warmly in suitable outdoor clothing.

We look forward to seeing you there!
