Bydd Dr. Anwen Elias, Dr. Mohsin Hussain, Dr. Bettina Petersohn a Prof Matthew Wall o Astudiaeth Etholiad Cymru 2026 yn cyflwyno data barn y cyhoedd o'r cyfnod cyn, yn ystod ac ar ôl yr etholiad, i helpu i ddeall sut y pleidleisiodd Cymru ar 7fed o Fai.

Byddan nhw'n archwilio agweddau tuag at ddemocratiaeth a'r diwygiadau i sut mae Senedd Cymru yn cael ei hethol, a'r materion allweddol oedd yn bwysig yn yr etholiad hwn a sut y gwnaeth hyn lywio dewisiadau pleidleiswyr. Byddant hefyd yn cyflwyno data am agweddau pobl tuag at y lleoedd a'r cymunedau lle maent yn byw,

Understanding the Senedd Election 2026: Democracy, Place, and Community in Wales

The May 2026 election to Senedd Cymru resulted in a transformation of Wales’s electoral and political landscape. Join us to get the newest data and analysis from experts at Swansea and Aberystwyth Universities.

Dr. Anwen Elias, Dr. Mohsin Hussain, Dr. Bettina Petersohn, and Prof Matthew Wall from the Welsh Election Study 2026 will present public opinion data from before, during and after the election, to help understand how Wales voted on the 7th of May and where the Welsh public stand on important policy issues. They’ll explore attitudes towards democracy and the reforms to how the Senedd is elected, and the key issues that mattered in this election and how this informed voters’ choices. They’ll also present data about people’s attitudes towards the places and communities where they live with a focus on the wider Swansea region, questions which have been asked for the first time in the Welsh Election Study 2026.
