Dance for Dementia at Warwick Library
Dance for Dementia is a weekly movement session run by local dance company Motionhouse for people living with dementia. These welcoming sessions offer the joy of movement while encouraging self-expression, creativity, social interaction, and a sense of community and connection, with family members, partners, and carers invited to take part and support participation in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Dance for Dementia is delivered by Motionhouse in partnership with Warwickshire Libraries and generously supported by The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust.
These sessions are great for:
Enjoying movement, creativity and self-expression in a supportive environment
Building confidence and wellbeing through a fun and relaxed activity
Meeting others and developing a sense of community and connection
Taking part alongside family members, partners and carers in a welcoming atmosphere

Motionhouse
Founded in Leamington Spa in 1988, Motionhouse (https://www.motionhouse.co.uk/) are one of the busiest touring companies in the UK, creating awe-inspiring dance-circus productions across the UK and internationally, performing each year to more than 100,000 people in theatres and at outdoor events. They have a strong commitment to the local community, and an extensive participatory and education programme runs alongside their performance work.
Time: 2pm - 2:45pm followed by 30 minutes for refreshments
Date: Every Thursday from 5th November 2026 until Thursday 4th March 2027
Age: Adults living with dementia and their family members, partners or carers
Booking: Booking is advised
