From September to November 2026, Waterford Youth Arts will host an intensive youth film production programme designed for participants aged fifteen to eighteen. This forthcoming initiative offers aspiring filmmakers the chance to explore every facet of cinema creation while preparing them for future roles in professional production. The session will conclude with a screening event on 23 September at 18:30, where attendees may view the work developed throughout the workshops. Youth Film production programme where young people get to learn about all aspects of film making.
Learn about all aspects of film making from pre - production to post production; camera, scriptwriting, storyboarding, filming, sound recording, editing and more. Leading to opportunities of creating short films as part of a group and submitting them to youth film festivals.
You don’t need any prior experience to get involved and it’s a fantastic stepping stone for any young person interested in Film Production, no matter the skill level.
At Waterford Youth Arts, the safety of young people is paramount. We are excited and looking forward to meeting new creatives as well as welcoming back all our friends from last time.
