Jewellery Workshop - Silver Clay Gonk

No previous experience required. Suitable for ages 12 and above.

In this workshop we will use a variety of techniques using silver clay and other materials to create a tiny solid silver gonk. You can make him as an ornament, or attach a little ring to wear as a pendant - the choice is yours!

What you will learn:

Design ideas and considerations

Introduction to tools and equipment

How to create three dimensional elements in SilverClay

Using a syringe and carving techniques to create texture

Adding tiny moulded elements

Drying, sanding and refining

Firing

Polishing and finishing

We will work at a relaxed pace with plenty of time to explore the material and ask questions along the way. Your work will be fired and finished during the session so you can take your little gonk home with you on the day

Please bring a sturdy pair of shoes; drinks will be provided.

All materials for your gonk are included in the price of the workshop

Additional clay, starter kits, and jewellery findings can be purchased during the day.
