About York Dungeon Standard Admission

York Dungeon at York Dungeon takes you through 2,000 years of York’s darker history with live actors, immersive sets and special effects. The experience is designed to make you see, hear and smell the city’s murkier past as history is brought to life.

Along the way, you meet the Vikings and their Saxon enemies, as well as notable figures including Guy Fawkes and Isabella Billington. The route also covers the Black Death and a torture chamber, with the experience presented through live performance and themed scenes.

Key facts: Children must be aged 5 or over. York Dungeon is not recommended for under 8s.
