About York Dungeon Standard Admission

York Dungeon Standard Admission at York Dungeon takes you through 2,000 years of York’s darker history in an immersive walk-through experience. Using live actors, immersive sets and special effects, it brings scenes and characters from the city’s past to life.

Along the way, you encounter the Vikings and their Saxon enemies, as well as notorious figures including Guy Fawkes and Isabella Billington. The experience also covers the Black Death and a torture chamber, with sights, sounds and smells used as part of the storytelling.

Key facts: Younger visitors must be aged 5 and over. It is not recommended for under 8s.
