Heartlands Pride, Independent People with Disabilities and the Disability Participation News Hub are coming together this October to mark UN International Day of Eradication of Poverty.
The National Theme this year is: ‘'Uniting communities to end poverty and guarantee everyone an adequate home’
Join us on the 17th October at TUS Athlone as we share experiences from our communities and consider ways to make change happen.
This event is split into two parts:
* A panel discussion with Q&A - 11:30am - 1pm.
* Free lunch for attendees - 1pm-2pm.
* A Zine Workshop - 2:pm-3:30pm
Please book your space for the Zine workshop by emailing info@disabilityparticiaption.ie (spaces limited)
Spaces are limited and booking is essential.

Facilitators: Christine O'Mahony and Emma Ward
Speakers will be announced soon!
We will have a community action board at the event, where you can share thoughts and ideas on this topic through art and writing.
Zine Workshop
Our Zine Workshop takes place after lunch - spaces limited for this part of the event and must be booked separately - email info@disabilityparticiaption.ie
Access
Attendees will receive a "Know Before You Go Guide" before the event including access information for this venue. This will include images of the room, facilities and parking information too. More information in FAQs below.
Masks will also be available on site to support collective care for attendees.
