Yoga with Vicky offers a meditative approach to yoga, integrating breath and movement to cultivate strength and inner calm. The class is best suited for those with prior experience in yoga or similar practices and includes elements such as Vedic chanting and guided relaxation. It will take place in the Old School Room in Rise, Frome.
About the class: I am a dedicated yoga teacher and occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience in both fields. My sessions take a meditative approach to yoga, exploring the deep connection between breath and movement. I integrate physical postures (āsana), mindful movement, breathing techniques (prānāyāma), and guided relaxation to create a well-rounded practice. My aim is to help you cultivate strength, flexibility, and ease in your body while fostering a sense of inner calm. This class welcomes all genders and ages but is best suited for those with prior experience in yoga or a similar movement practice. In addition to the core elements, sessions include Vedic chanting, meditation, and sound work, with a strong focus on breathwork, including more advanced forms of prānāyāma. I keep class sizes small to provide individual support, encourage steady progression, and offer modifications and alternatives where needed. Students enroll per term—drop-in classes are not available, as commitment to the full course (which may vary in length) is essential. Taught by: Vicky Baylis –Vicky is a yoga teacher and neurological occupational therapist with over 20 years experience in both. She is a fully qualified yoga therapist and offers yoga therapy and one to one yoga sessions.
