A series of workshops on people-centred storytelling will run starting 10 October 2026 at The Seamus Heaney Centre in Belfast. Entry to these sessions is free and participants will explore storytelling techniques.
A three week series of workshops looking at the idea of people-centred storytelling.
This three week workshop encourages participants to explore how they can introduce a people-centered storytelling approach in their own creative practice, using examples drawn from Glenn Patterson’s work. Each week has a specific focus with a mix of creative writing prompts and practical skills exercises to help you develop future creative projects of your own.
Sessions are themed as follows:
Introduction to People-Centered Storytelling;
Family History, Everyday Heroes;
Interviewing Skills, Radio & Voice.
Participants need to be available for all three sessions. All levels of prior creative writing experience (including none!) are welcome.
