Getting Louder in Belfast! A weekend of music related events. A strictly limited number of Weekend Passes available

LOUDER THAN WORDS FESTIVAL is now recognised as the UK’s biggest Music Lit Fest.

Established in 2014, our annual Weekend Festival takes place each November in Manchester.

In 2027 we’re expanding our offer and Getting Louder in Belfast!

Our dates are 15-17th January, 2027.

Our Festival home will be The Harrison: Chambers of Distinction, the renowned bohemian bolthole nestled in the heart of the vibrant Queen’s Quarter - the city’s bustling theatre and arts district. What a treat we have in store for sure!

Our weekend will bring together a collection of authors, artists, poets, performers, lyricists, journalists, DJs, bloggers, publishers, fans and aficionados of music and popular culture for in conversations, panel discussions, meets and greets, socialising and more!

Our Weekend Passes are strictly limited in number and offer the best discount available for our 2027 Getting Louder in Belfast! festival.

Our Passes give you access to our #LouderinBelfast2027 Festival programme across Friday 15th - Sunday 17th January, 2027 - all housed at The Harrison: Chambers of Distinction Hotel, Belfast. Weekend Pass holders are free to join any of the Festival events included in the programme (as available on the day).

The Getting Louder in Belfast! 2027 weekend programme of events will be announced as contributors are confirmed

We are also offering Weekend Passes that include B&B accommodation for those who wish to fully indulge!

Louder Than Words Festival enables audiences, contributors, sponsors, participants and more to hear, share, discuss and celebrate the best of published and unpublished words associated with music and popular culture industries - we have social areas at our venue, The Harrison: Chambers of Distinction, so that everyone has the opportunity to meet, enjoy and grow our community of like-minded fans and enthusiasts!

Unlike Frank Zappa’s much quoted interpretation of music-writing, Louder Than Words promotes the craft, conducts interviews with thinking people, encourages reading and aims to develop artistic appreciation of all-comers through engagement.

#GettingLouderinBelfast! 2027 includes a range of quality events for engaging with like-minded individuals; encouraging interaction with performers, authors, editors, publicists, reviewers, press, artists and aficionados.

From Rock to Pop and Punk to Folk, from Poetry to Publishing, Art and Performance and all things in between, Getting Louder in Belfast! has something for everyone - engagement and involvement are central to all we do. Join us and enjoy a taste of something different!
