Support for Managing and Mentoring Construction Apprentices in the Workplace

This half-day session is designed for construction professionals who support and develop apprentices. It provides practical mentoring skills to build trust, have meaningful conversations and help apprentices perform and develop to their full potential. The session will focus on real-world mentoring challenges, including supporting apprentices academically and professionally, preparing for Personal Training Plan (PTP) reviews and setting clear, realistic expectations.

Trainer Overview:

Lyle English is a Senior associate trainer with AKU training and a highly experienced trainer, coach and mentor with over 23 years' experience designing and delivering leadership, mentoring and professional development programmes across the public, private and voluntary sectors. Alongside his extensive training expertise, Lyle brings significant personal mentoring experience through more than two decades as a Volunteer Business Mentor with The Prince's Trust, supporting young people to establish and grow their own businesses.
