Step Away from the Noise and Reconnect
Welcome to a different kind of walk in the woods.
We spend so much of our lives rushing from one task to the next. This session offers a chance to slow down - physically and mentally - and spend some unhurried time in nature.
Gently guided by the principles of Shinrin-Yoku (forest bathing) and nature connection, this isn't a hike and there is no distance to cover or destination to reach.
Instead, we'll move slowly, pause often, and give ourselves time to notice the sights, sounds, smells and sensations of the woodland around us.
What to Expect: The Invitations
Every session will be different, shaped by the season, the woodland and the people who join us.
Rather than following a rigid schedule, I will offer a series of gentle invitations - simple prompts to help you slow down, become more present and experience the natural world in a different way.
Depending on the day, our time together may include:
Gentle Movement - simple movements to help us arrive in our bodies and release tension.
Breathing Practices - calm, grounding exercises to help us slow down and settle.
Deep Listening & Observation - time to sit quietly, to listen and notice the subtle details of the woodland.
Guided Meditation - brief periods of stillness to help you fully arrive in the moment.
Sensory Exploration - simple invitations to engage with the woodland through sight, sound, touch and smell.
Tea & Gratitude - we'll finish our time together with a simple tea ceremony, offering a moment to pause, give thanks for the natural environment that has hosted us, and acknowledge the shared experience we've created together.
Everything is an invitation. There is no right or wrong way to participate, and you are always free to choose what feels comfortable for you.
Pace & Terrain
This is a slow, meandering experience, rather than a conventional walk.
We'll generally stay on established paths, although we will occasionally explore a little further into the woodland on paths.
Please bring, your curiosity, water and something to sit on (which could be your coat!).
Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy, comfortable footwear. The woodland can be cooler than you might expect, particularly when we stop for periods of stillness, so an extra layer is recommended.
No Cost - Just Your Commitment
To keep the experience intimate and allow everyone the space to participate fully, each session is limited to a maximum of 8 people.
There is no cost to attend - just a commitment to yourself and to the group.
Because places are limited, please only reserve a place if you intend to attend. If you find that you can no longer make it, please cancel your booking as soon as possible so that your place can be offered to someone else.
Who Is It For?
Everyone is welcome.
You don't need to have any previous experience of meditation, mindfulness or forest bathing, and you don't need to be particularly fit.
This is not a fitness walk. There is no expectation to talk, perform or achieve anything.
Just come as you are.
