About This Event

An evening shamanic circle honouring the longest night will take place at The Somatic Therapies Centre in Brighton on 18 December 2026. This event celebrates the Winter Solstice, marking the transition from darkness to light. The ticket price is £27.80.

The still point of the year, Winter Solstice - Honouring the Darkness, Welcoming the Light

where darkness reaches its fullness and the light

The Winter Solstice is one of the most ancient and sacred thresholds in the human story. Across cultures and centuries, people have gathered at this turning point to sit with the dark, to tend the inner flame, and to welcome the returning light. It is a time of profound stillness - and within that stillness, of deep renewal.

We are invited to honour both: the darkness that has held us through the year, with all its losses, teachings, and unknowings - and the light that stirs again at the edges, carrying with it the seeds of what is yet to come. This is not a time to rush toward the new, but to rest at the threshold and let the turning find us.

Through shamanic journeying and winter ceremony, we work with the medicine of the solstice - descending into the quiet, meeting what lives in the dark, and kindling the inner light that will carry us into the year ahead.

Join us for an evening of ceremony, journeying, and sacred ritual as we honour the longest night and welcome the slow return of the light.

🌟 During the evening, you will be guided through:

· Grounding meditation and opening ceremony

· Shamanic drumming and guided solstice journey

· Kindling the inner light - intention and vision for what is being born

· A closing ritual to welcome the returning light and honour the threshold
