Have you got a creative film project that needs crew? Are you a sound artist looking to collaborate? Come along to find your next project Screenology film school at Make Happen Institute is throwing open its doors for our Pitching Forum event to connect creatives in Bristol. What a wealth of talent we have among the Bristol student population! We are delighted to bring you all together for a summer pitching event where connections can be made and collaborations nurtured. Pitching Forum events at Make Happen (Screenology) are relaxed events hosted by our Beyond Team. We try to create a space where creatives at all stages of their project can come and share their ideas and recruit collaborators/crew/support. Likewise, we aim to create an environment where creatives with varying skill levels can jump on projects and offer their skills and services. Format We host the event in one of the flexi workshop spaces at St Vincent's Works. If possible, we'll sit in circle so everyone can be seen and heard clearly. Pitchers have 90 seconds to share the scope of their project We'll briefly open the floor to questions then have a show of hands to indicate how many people are interested in getting involved. After all the pitches are finished, we'll get people circulating so that you can swap contact info. Top Tips For Pitchers Tell us the scope and context of your project, what stage you're at and your timeline Tell us the roles/type of collaborators you're looking for, and experience required Tell us any key dates/locations you already know Keep it snappy and bring along something to capture others contact info at the end Top Tips For Collaborators/Crew Bring something to take notes Have an easy way to share your contact details afterwards Be confident in your current skill level and experience - everyone is welcome
