Nurture Day is a winter creative wellbeing retreat taking place at Milton Country Park. The event features gentle creativity, meditation, breathwork, and a warming café lunch.
A cosy winter retreat at Milton Country Park with gentle creativity, meditation, breathwork and a warming café lunch. Time for you.
Begin the year gently
After the activity of December, January can feel like another demand: make plans, find motivation, get going again.
But nature is still resting.
Join Elemental Art Flow in Grounds cafe at Milton Country Park for four unhurried hours devoted to slowing down, enjoying gentle creativity and giving yourself some care.
Inspired by nature and Five Element Theory, our Nurture Day takes its cue from winter and the Water element. Within this tradition, winter offers time for stillness and replenishment, allowing energy to gather before the growth of spring.
We’ll bring that spirit of seasonal hibernation into a cosy gathering with guided creative exploration, meditation, breathwork and a warming lunch from the park’s café.
You don’t need to be good at art, experienced in meditation or ready to make changes. Come with whatever energy you have.
What to expect
Gentle, guided creativity
We’ll offer invitations to explore and make, drawing inspiration from nature and the season. Follow your curiosity, enjoy the process and let your work unfold without the pressure to produce something polished.
Meditation and breathwork
Guided moments to pause, bring attention to your breath and settle into the present. No previous experience is needed, and you can participate at your own pace.
Space to rest and reflect
There’s no need to fill every moment or arrive with something you want to work through. This is time to notice how you feel and give yourself a little breathing room.
A warming lunch
Enjoy a delicious lunch from Grounds Café, with time to savour your food and enjoy the company.
Inspiration from the winter landscape
With Milton Country Park as our setting, we’ll draw on nature’s quieter rhythms as a reminder that rest has its place in the cycle of growth.
Is this day for you?
You might be feeling depleted after a busy few weeks, craving some creative time or simply wanting something gentle to look forward to.
