Gong Bath Sound Experience
Experience Intentions
With my practice I work with Paiste Gong Chiron to create a meditative experience where participants are “bathed” in sound waves. The music doesn’t have a catchy melody or rhythm that you would experience at a rock concert or symphony, but instead is a carefully selected wash of the Gongs notable resonance and overtones which create the experience. The intention is to change and help balance the energy of the participants, as well as create:
A state of harmony in the participant, to cleanse and balance discordance in their energy fields.
Deep relaxation as the participants learn to let go.
An increased sense of well-being, expanded awareness and possible access to visionary experiences.
Possible physical healing benefits as frequency and vibrations can adjust the physical cells of the body to encourage healing in blocked areas.
“In fact, Western medicine uses sound waves on a daily basis in the form of ultrasound technology, which can be used to break up kidney stones among other things.”
Sounds baths are suitable for everyone at any stage of their lives. Participants are lying on the floor underneath the comfort of their own blanket and pillow. Participants do not need athletic ability or flexibility to participate. Additionally, anyone who wants to begin a meditation practice this is a great place to start, especially if you overthink or have excessive thoughts that make it difficult to mediate in the more traditional way. The wash of sounds induces a deep meditative experience which teaches you to let go, all you have to be is open to the experience.

''I experienced one of Tanya's gong baths last night and cannot recommend them enough! The beautiful sound journey that Tanya takes you on is deeply relaxing, in a lovely safe space which provides a little piece of bliss through her wonderfully played instruments. I floated out of there rebalanced, calm and at peace. I had no idea that sound could be so healing. Thank you, Tanya''Sarah (2023)
''An amazing experience. The atmosphere was calming and tranquil. The gong bath was a wonderful experience, calming, de-stressing and relaxing. Not only was the sound of the gong incredible, but the vibrations that also travelled through the air and body was astonishing.I will attend future gong baths that Tanya holds, and also invite my friends to experience the event'' Nicky (2023)
''This was my first experience of a gong bath and I had very little idea of what to expect. What I experienced however was truly enlightening. The sounds are energizing and calming all at the same time. I also experienced it as quite cleansing, it provided me with an awareness that hadn’t been available to me before. Tanya was amazing, being very respectful of everyone’s individual needs and made the whole experience all the better''Tracey (2023)
