This session offers a free introduction to climbing activities in Central South Wales for young people aged 7 to 12. The event is organised to provide a supportive environment for developing new skills. No cost is associated with participation in this sports-related activity.
These sessions are designed to provide a fun, supportive introduction to climbing, helping young people get active & learn new skills!
Indoor Climbing Session
Designed specifically for care experienced young people, this session offers the chance to get active, try something new, build confidence, and have fun in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Funded by Cardiff Passport to the City and delivered by The Outdoor Partnership, participants may have the opportunity to experience activities such as climbing, skiing, kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding, depending on the conditions and session programme.
No previous experience is required, and all specialist equipment is provided by qualified instructors. If you're feeling a little nervous, that's completely normal – you're welcome to bring a friend or supportive adult along with you.
Venue facilities include:
Free parking
Toilets
Fantastic cafe, where accompanying adults can watch.
Adult required to attend and stay for under 18s
Participants welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks
The Outdoor Partnership is committed to opening the doors to the outdoors, helping more people access, enjoy and benefit from outdoor activities within their local communities.
⚠️ Places are limited and funded. Please only book for young people and friend who will participate. If your plans change and you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so the place can be offered to another young person.
