The training session will provide attendees with hands-on experience and practical skills in recognising signs of swallowing difficulties, understanding and preparation of different diet/fluid consistencies in line with the IDDSI framework, using various techniques and assistive strategies to support with eating and drinking, and a basic understanding of feeding with acknowledged risk decisions.

The event is free to attend and is open to staff working in care homes and community care settings in Cardiff.

The training is provided by the SLT (Speech and Language Therapy) team.
