Curators Teresa Krasny and Karen Serres offer a rare glimpse into the father of Impressionism’s life and practice through his own words. From his formative years to fame at the end of his life, Claude Monet's letters reveal a candid glimpse into his passions, anxieties and frank opinions, illuminating the artist's working life and practice like never before. Illustrated with some of Monet's best-known works, contemporary photographs and reproductions of the letters themselves, Teresa and Karen share an intimate portrait of one of art history's most celebrated figures. Chaired by Julia Wheeler . There will be a book signing after this event.
