Dean Atta and Kiran Millwood Hargrave explore the intimate intersections of identity, love, memory and the lives we carry with us across time. Big Man follows a tender, hard-won portrait of queer Black British life in East London, while Almost Life is a sweeping story of a decades-spanning love between two women shaped by desire, distance and choice. Together, they reflect on how we construct belonging, intimacy and selfhood, examining queer love in its many forms, the passage of time and the ‘almost lives’ that shape who we become when we finally dare to choose ourselves.
