A Look & Learn (demo-only) education day for barbers and hairdressers in Cork. Watch two detailed live demonstrations with Maria (MrMills Barber & Academy) and Andy O’Sullivan (AndySullsHairAcademy) covering Round Graduation, a Taper Fade finish, and Square Layers—plus refreshments, and a final Q&A.

Please note: This is a demonstration-only event (no hands-on cutting by attendees). You will watch live demos, learn the theory behind the techniques, and leave with a clearer understanding of how to apply them in practice.

What you’ll learn (live demos, explained step-by-step)

1) Round Graduation — presented by Maria

Maria will break down the highly requested Round Graduation haircut in depth, including:

Body position and control

Sectioning and step-by-step approach

Scissor work, precision, and key checkpoints

The theory behind graduation and how to achieve consistent results

2) Taper Fade finish on a live model — presented by Andy

Andy will take over on the live model and demonstrate a taper fade finish to bring the haircut into a clean, modern, wearable look.

Tea, coffee, and biscuits provided.

3) Square Layers — presented by Maria

A popular technique for mid-length hair and especially useful for curly hair in salon work. Maria will explain every step clearly to strengthen your understanding and confidence.
