Come make seed mesh bird feeders with us at Ryton Pools Country Park - let's help our feathered friends snack in style!

Wooden Feeders

Are you looking for a way to help the birds in your area this winter? Look no further! Join us and make a wooden seed feeder. Not only will this be a fun activity, but it will also provide birds with a much-needed food source during the colder months.

Did you know that bird feeders are most popular when natural food is scarce, which is usually between October and April? However, food shortages can happen at any time, so feeding birds all year round is the best option. Plus, you don't even need a garden to attract birds - a wooden feeder can do the trick and bring some feathered friends to your balcony or windowsill.

We'll provide you with all the tools and materials you need, along with information and tips on how to best place your feeder. We'll also teach you how to keep your feeder clean and hygienic to prevent diseases from spreading among the birds.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to make a difference and give back to nature. Join us and make a wooden peanut feeder for the birds near you!
