Pathways to Construction :

Are you 16–25, living in Derby, and ready to take your first step into a Construction career?

This fully funded programme gives you the chance to gain practical experience in construction whilst having the opportunity to meet and engage with employers.

You’ll spend 3 days a week for 12 weeks developing your future and working towards your CSCS card.

What is involved in this Programme?

A commitment of 12-weeks: 23rd September to 18 Dec 2026?

Work towards gaining the Green CSCS Health and Safety card to allow you to work within a Construction Site.

3-day commitment over 12 weeks

Wednesdays 1pm to 3pm Employability skills training and meet the employer sessions, including, Derby Homes, Action for Construction and Balfour Beatty.

12 practical training sessions at Constructing Futures, Derby. Friday 9am -3pm

5 day work enrichment and activity session at Balfour Beatty in Derby in November.

Weekly 1 hour appointment with an Employment Advisor

What is the CSCS card?

The CSCS Green Card (also known as the Green Labourer Card) basic health and safety knowledge for labouring roles.

You must pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test and complete the Level 1 Health & Safety Awareness Course to gain the CSCS card.

All this is provided as part of the programme.

Eligibility

Any NEET ( NOT IN EMPLOYMENT , EDUCATION OR TRAINING) YP living in Derby 16-21 years old

A NEET YP ( NOT IN EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION OR TRAINING) YP that is living in Derby that is a Care Leaver or has SEND 16-25 years old

All the training takes place from Constructing Futures DerbyUnit 8, Racecourse Industrial Park, Mansfield Road, Derby, Derbyshire, DE21 4SX
