Join us for a relaxed and creative floristry workshop set within the beautiful historic gardens of Crook Hall. With inspiring planting schemes, colourful borders, and the charm of a traditional English garden all around you, this is the perfect setting to immerse yourself in the abundance of the late summer season.

Working with a stunning selection of seasonal dahlias and complementary flowers, you'll create your own beautiful floral arrangement while exploring the importance of line and movement in floral design. Don't worry if you're new to flower arranging—I'll guide you step by step through the process, helping you to create a natural, balanced design full of colour, texture, and personality.

Sustainability is at the heart of this workshop, and we'll be using plant-based Oasis Renewal Floral Foam to support your arrangement. Taking inspiration from the gardens around us, you'll be encouraged to interpret the season in your own unique way and enjoy the freedom to create something truly personal.

Whether you're joining on your own, with friends, or simply looking for a creative escape, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and spend a few mindful hours surrounded by flowers.

You'll leave with a gorgeous late summer arrangement to take home—along with plenty of floral inspiration and perhaps a newfound appreciation for the dahlia!

No experience needed—just bring yourself and a love of flowers.

Our workshops at The Northern Flower Garden are always fun and supportive where I demonstrate professional floristry techniques, share the tips and tricks and we’ll keep the creativity flowing with crafted drinks and homemade bakes from the National Trust team at Crook Hall Gardens.

Admission & Access

Car parking charges apply at Crook Hall Gardens for non-National Trust members.

On arrival, please show proof of your workshop booking at the welcome buildings to gain free admission.

Can National Trust members please also have your membership card scanned as usual.

Biosecurity

To help protect and conserve Crook Hall’s Gardens, all plant material that enters and leaves the site is bagged and sealed. Therefore we will ask you to also seal your designs in the bags we will provide as you leave.
