An intertidal marine monitoring session will be held at St Abbs Harbour in Edinburgh on 11 September 2026 to monitor rocky shore biodiversity. The event is free.
Help us monitor the biodiversity of our rocky shores!
We are looking for volunteers to help record the presence and abundance of intertidal species within the BMR. The data collected will add to a growing database to help improve our knowledge and contribute to better management of marine life in our waters.
Due to the nature of the work, there is a minimum age requirement of 14, and volunteers must be physically fit to work in and around rockpools. Each survey takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete.
Meet one of the team at the far corner of the Harbour at the Long Stay Car Park.
To sign up, please email Charlotte, our Project Officer (charlotte@berwickshiremarinereserve.org.uk)
Due to the changing weather and sea conditions, this event may be cancelled at short notice. We will post on this event if that is the case, or email you directly.
