About This Event

The Maltings Exhibition Centre at 6 Riverside, Cramond opens for its summer season on Saturday 4 April and is open 2pm to 5pm every Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holiday until the end of September. Cramond is one of the oldest continuously occupied places in Scotland, and the Maltings is your gateway into that extraordinary story, from 8,500 BC right through to the Victorian era. Explore real Roman artefacts recovered from nearby digs, step inside a recreated Victorian schoolroom, and discover why Robert Louis Stevenson called a building right next door the "University of Cramond." Guided walks to Cramond Island and along the River Almond will also take place throughout the summer. More info at www.cramondheritage.org.uk Run entirely by volunteers from the Cramond Heritage Trust, the Maltings is a wonderful day out for all the family. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of £3.50 to help support the work of our volunteers.
