The workshop at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh on 19 September 2026, led by Dijana Zorić, aims to help professional storytellers communicate their skills and services effectively. The session focuses on business development for independent performers.
This workshop with Dijana Zorić will upskill professional storytellers in the effective communication of their skills and services to current and potential clients, whether cultural, tourist or private sector, in domestic or international markets. Participants will receive practical guidelines on how to develop business proposals, pricing models and other creative and operational formats essential for successful, sustainable and transparent professional practice. The aim of the workshop is to support storytellers in the market-oriented professionalisation of their services and in building long-term, strong and loyal relationships with clients and audiences. Presented by the Scottish Storytelling Forum. Dijana Zorić is a storyteller, storytelling mentor, licensed tourist guide and heritage interpreter. A member of FEST and Interpret Europe, and the founder and director of Croatia’s first storytelling centre, StoryLab, and the first Croatian Storytelling Academy (programmes accredited by NSN). She specialises in business storytelling, storytelling in tourism and storytelling as a performing art. As a mentor, creator and interpreter of storytelling content, she collaborates with Croatian and European business companies, tourism boards, and educational and cultural institutions, for which she designs educational programmes and training courses. She is initiator and director of STORYing, the first international storytelling festival in Croatia.
