Join Gaeltacht an Eachréidh for a new eight-week term of Irish classes for adults atThe Arches Hotel, Claregalway on Tuesday evenings, starting on Tuesday, September 29. Please check your level before registering.

The first class (from 7 to 8pm) is aimed at A1 (complete beginner) and A2 (Elementary) learners, whereas the second class (Intermediates, high A2 to B1) is for those who have some level of Irish and can describe experiences such as a day at work, school, etc. We are delighted to offer these classes again for the coming winter, after the classes proved to be a huge hit with adult learners last year.

The classes will be provided by a native Irish speaker from Conamara, who is also a full-time primary teacher. We are delighted to have Katie Ni Dhonnabháin with us on Tuesday evenings in Claregalway.

The cost of this eight-week term is €70. The beginners' class is from 7 to 8pm and the intermediate class from 8.15 to 9.15pm. Please register for the correct class as two of the three terms last year sold out well in advance! There will be a one-week break for Halloween on October 27 and the term will conclude on November 24. We intend to continue with the classes again in January.

The first class is not for complete beginners who have never done Irish before, you are expected to have some Irish even if it’s “rusty” since your school days! You will find that it will come back to you thanks to Katie’s interactive style.
