First come, first served Jardin Miriam Arte Clube (JAMAC) are an initiative active since 2000, based in the Southern periphery of São Paulo, Brazil. Composed by artists, teachers, syndicalists and community organisers, JAMAC visually embeds community histories into drawn patterns, stencils imprinted in textiles, ceramics, or the walls of houses of a whole street to collectively understand and manifest those communities needs and desires towards processes of self-determination. First come, first served Join world-renowned Puerto Rican decolonial thinker and activist as he unpicks the Eurocentric lie of linear time, and shares anti-colonial temporalities that arise out of, and in light of the life ways, suffering, dignity, and creative drive of oppressed communities around the world. First come, first served How do Palestinians rethink the cosmologies of time within which they organise their struggle—and the clock counting down on Israel's endgame. Before the War, It Was the War; After the War, It Is Still the War Mazen Kerbaj 6.30 - 7.15pm Music Performance | T1 Ticketed via Sun Evening Pass An electro-acoustic performance composition for trumpet and field recordings of bombardment, sirens, TV clips, phone calls and the social geography of Beirut during the 2006 war, re-membered amidst the unchanging same of settler colonial violence 20 years later. Against the Grain of Empty Time Ejrad (Masa Nazzal & Hajar Ibrahim) 7.35 - 8.05pm Music Performance | T1 Ticketed via Sun Evening Pass Collective listening as a political action. Ejrad will present sonic counter-narratives from the Edinburgh student encampment which mobilise the transformative power of listening as a bridge towards solidarity, action, and change. Includes recordings from demonstrations and from people participating in a hunger strike. your tears are ours Kamilya Jubran 8.25 - 9.10pm Music Performance | T1 Ticketed via Sun Evening Pass Revolutionary songs of Arab resistance, for voice and oud, by one of the most revered figures in the experimental and alternative Arabic music scenes of the last 40 years. Access: Ear defenders and earplugs available. Printed translation of lyrics available Lungless: without lungs, or the impossibility of breathing Mazen Kerbaj 9.30 - 10pm Music Performance | T1 Ticketed via Evening Pass Where eliminatory violence denies the basic necessity of breathing, Lungless is a spatialised performance for the specially built “Putin's Organ"—7 trumpets powered by an air compressor—giving voice to a trumpet without breath.
