BAAT Region 15 Presents:

Autistic Play with Max Alexander

A one-day participatory workshop exploring neurodivergent play, creativity and connection.

Join Max Alexander, author of The Joys and Shapes of Autistic Play, for a day of exploring and celebrating the infinite ways we play.

Through a combination of practical activities, shared learning and reflection, we’ll explore forms of play and relating that are often overlooked or misunderstood, and consider how Max’s practice can inform art therapy and the work of allies.

The day offers space to learn, experiment, play and reflect together, with care, access and advocating inclusion at the heart of the approach.

Who is it for?

Open to qualified art psychotherapists, creative therapists, arts practitioners, students and allies interested in neurodivergent play, creativity, access and inclusive practice.

Parents and carers of young children are warmly invited. We aim to create a welcoming and accessible environment that accommodates different needs and ways of participating. The event space has step-free entry and accessible gender-neutral toilets.

Accessible ticket pricing

We want the workshop to be accessible to people with different financial circumstances, so we’re offering a sliding ticket scale.

Please choose the ticket price that feels appropriate for your circumstances, no proof of income is required.

Free / No-Cost Access: Reserved for anyone for whom paying any amount would present a significant barrier.

£10 Community: For those living on a low income, underemployed, student, or experiencing financial strain where a standard ticket would cause hardship.

£17.50 Standard: For those who can meet their basic needs, comfortably cover daily living expenses and pay the actual cost of producing this event.

£25 Solidarity: For those with expendable income who want to support community access and help absorb fincanial cost for others.

£30 Pay Forward: For those with comfortable expendable income and who want to support future events and support BAAT 15 community.
