In the game we encounter a world in flux: over blood-red sand dunes, a hovering heart puts out tree-like limbs spewing glittering waterfalls; from floating rocks sprout brilliantly coloured cacti. But all is not well in this virtual land of plenty. Cracks are developing underfoot while overhead the stars are sickening. Players can perform actions that heal this magic-realist world, helping to transform a hellish landscape into something more hopeful Co-commissioned by Aberdeen Performing Arts and New Media Scotland’s Alt-w Fund with investment from Creative Scotland. Cosmic Ch’ixi was developed during Cryptic’s Cove Park Residency 2026. Contains: Strobe effects; Flashing lights; Loud or sudden noises.
