Stories of Endurance and Wonder with Cole Moreton and Ed Boxall
Join us for an evening weaving together a pair of epic journey-stories, one from the present day one from the deep past. Together they explore human experiences of displacement, curiosity, endurance and wonder.
Cole Moreton tells the true story of Zahra, a young refugee who travels seven thousand miles in search of a place to be safe, looking to the sky for inspiration.
Ed Boxall answers with The Eagle and The Boy, a native American tale of a child who flees brutality to find safety and wonder in worlds far from our own.
After the stories, you will be invited to share your own responses, questions and experiences of wonder, through words or images.
Cole is a writer, broadcaster and story coach who was named Interviewer of the Year at the British Press Awards and won a gold Aria for his work on BBC Radio 4.
Ed is a writer, illustrator, storyteller and musician from Hastings, known for books such as We The Wild Ones and performances in schools and libraries.
