A vital skills training session on the use of syringe pumps.

St Michael's Hospice is hosting a Syringe Pump training session.

Join us at the Arthur Easton Centre to receive hands on training.

This session is open to registered nurses working in the Sussex ICB area, and will be facilitated by our Quality Lead Nurse.

The cost is £30 per person to attend.

This training session will cover:

What is a syringe pump is, features and functions.

Indications when a syringe pump will be used.

Common symptoms managed by a syringe pump.

Common medications used in a syringe pump.

Equipment, insertion sites and monitoring.

Troubleshooting.

Advantages and disadvantages.

Please note that this session uses the Bodyguard Syringe Pump for demonstration.
