Autumn Equinox Networking Event

Date & Time: September 19th, 2026 at 11:00 AM (BST)

Join us for a wonderful day of creating with Nature , discovering the fungi stars of the Autumnal woodland and a camp bread baking how- to activity with food and drinks prepared out in the open, while sipping wild derived equinox teas. Relax around the camp-fire (subject to safe conditions) and unwind in a beautiful natural environment.

This event offers a fantastic opportunity to meet local OWL members and other folk outdoor and woodland settings. Share your experiences, discover what has worked for your peers, and learn new skills that you might find useful in your work, tell your stories and share you love of nature!

Workshops will take place from 11:15 am on Saturday 19th of September

Workshops this year include: -

Willow rod walking stick Carving and Leather working with Fee

Learn the traditional craft of Willow Rod walking stick making and create your own functional walking rod and leather items using simple hand tools

Tumeric Sunprinting with Katie

Discover practical and engaging ways to create beautiful pictures with natural woodland materials: a chance for woodland exploration and to unleash your creativity.

Camp Cooking with Mia

Explore the art of creating awesome food outdoors and cook with confidence tasty stews and breads for your events coming up .

Fungal Foray with John - discover the hidden world of Fungi!

Learn how to identify common woodland Fungi with expert Mycologist John Hedger. learn

Please bring any activities or games you would like to share.

The event will be on uneven ground and some walking will be required to access activities. If you have any mobility issues or questions about the terrain etc please contact us via the email address below to discuss this further.
