The Heritage Festival - From the Feshie to the Tromie will visit the glens of the rivers Feshie and Tromie on September 14, 2026, starting at the Spey Street car park in Kingussie, Inverness.
This tour will visit the glens of the rivers Feshie and Tromie and take the new track by the Allt Bhran between them.
Participants will meet at the Spey Street car park in Kingussie, where 4-wheel drive vehicle sharing will be in operation to take us to the Glenfeshie, Tromie and Gaick estates. Local experts wil be on hand and will be joined by David Taylor and Eve Boyle. It will be decided on the day whether the tour will be in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction. At each of the estates, there will be some walking, some of which may be over rough ground.
People are advised to bring a packed lunch and some refreshments for this visit. At one of the sites, we will have a break when you can enjoy the packed lunch you have brought with you.
This route is graded as MODERATE as it will mostly be by car, but there may be some walking when stopped. Sturdy footwear is therefore essential, as well as appropriate outerwear for the weather on the day.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are sufficiently fit and healthy to take part in this moderate graded walk (some gradient and or rough terrain).
The tour starts at 10 am. Please arrive 10 mins early.
This tour is for adults only and is not suitable for disabled access.
